Dinosaurs by Anne Selden [Annab]

Dinosaurs

Arranging wheat thins neatly, carefully
four fit into a perfect square.
Methodically, the five year old adds
two to an end in order to construct
a precisely wrought rectangle.
His father blithely removes one cracker on an upper edge,
says "Look it's a School Bus."
Growing son says "No."
Father puts it underneath,
like a wheel,
adds another to the rear.
"A School Bus." he repeats
"Silly daddy" replies bemused son
"That's a stegosaurus."
