Resonance by Anne Selden [Annab]

Resonance

Last night
you stepped outside
into the flashes
of a summer storm.
Warm humid night
rumbling.
Your voice called to me
from our front step
with all the dazzle
of the dashing light
and the power
of thunder's deepest tone.
I came out to you
on the edge of the summer storm
(you- of the summer storm)
I stood by you
so close we touched
electricity.
